Oh Most Merciful Sultan
I come to You with my misdeeds
I've committed endless sins
I come to You with my misdeeds

I have disobeyed Your rules
I have drowned into the ocean of my wrongs
My faults are already known to You...
I come to You with my misdeeds

I was shameless and did not hesitate
My wrongs are both hidden and evident
Don’t reproach me, please have mercy
I come to You with my misdeeds

My origin was a mere drop
You created me from matter
Both my origin and condition are lowly
I come to You with my misdeeds

Laziness, disobedience, lies, heedlessness and disgrace–
My flaws are too many to count
Yet Your Name is Ya Gafur,
I come to you with my misdeeds

The world is filled with my wrongdoings;
You know all - evident or concealed
Oh the Helper whose blessings are endless,
I come to You with my misdeeds

Your name is Gaffar, the Forgiver,
And Settar, Who veils faults
Who else should I beseech?
I come to You with my misdeeds

I have not served You in the right way
I have not taken the path pleasing to You
I haven’t obeyed Your orders
I come to You with my misdeeds

Even if I sin thousands of times, Oh Sultan
And continue sinning
You say “Despair not the mercy of The Most Merciful” *
I come to You with my misdeeds

Kuddusi is a master of revolt
and is deeply disgraced in servanthood
Yet he still says, “I never despair of Your Mercy.”
I come to you with my misdeeds
